Ruby Irene Sredy, 81, of Somerset, died May 11, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born August 6, 1940 in Rockwood, she is the daughter of Edward Eugene and Alda Amelia (Pletcher) Beener. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis George Sredy who died February 15, 2020, two infant children, Stanley and Hope Sredy, and sister Ruth Beener. Survived by her children; Michelle Sredy and partner Daniel Funk, and Luke Sredy all of Somerset, grandchildren: Anna and Rosalind Chan, Preston and Carson Sredy, brothers and sisters; C. Edward Beener, George R. Beener and wife Darleen, Rita Show and husband Timothy, Dorothy Younkin and husband Cenneth, and Kathy Pyle and husband Ern all of Rockwood. Ruby was a graduate of Rockwood High School, she worked until her retirement as co-owner/operator of LaRue Meat Processing, LaRue Dairy Farm, and LaRue Stock Farm. She was also a member of AAMP, and St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday with Reverend J.
