Ruth Ellen Meyers, 86, of Somerset, died April 25, 2023 at Countryside Personal Care Home, Friedens. Born April 26, 1936 in Somerset, she is the daughter of E. Lloyd and Grace (Arden) Kimmel. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Lee Meyers who died July 27, 2014, sister Margaret Sue Grubbs, brother William L. Kimmel. Survived by her children: Susan M. Woy and husband Mark, and Richard "Rick" Meyers married to the former Amy Miller all of Somerset, grandchildren: Brian Woy and wife Amanda, John Meyers, and Anna Gallo and husband Bernardo, great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Kaitlyn, and Naomi. Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Somerset High School, she had worked until her retirement with over 40 years of service as an administrative assistant for Dumbauld's Tire, and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Somerset. She loved playing Bingo, bowling, taking bus trips to the casinos and playing the lottery. Ruth's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Countryside Personal Care Home, for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to her. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m,. Saturday with Reverend J.
