Ruth Ann Sarver

Ruth Ann Sarver, 77, of Berlin, died June 18, 2023 at her home. Born May 15, 1946 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Edward M. and Ruth E. (Raley) Shaffer. Preceded in death by her parents, great-granddaughter, Chloe Anne Duppstadt, brothers: Richard "Dick Shaffer, and Paul William "Bill" Shaffer, and sisters: Evelyn "Sis" Shaffer, and Sarah "Sally" Svonavec. Survived by her husband Edison Lewis Sarver to whom she was married 59 years, daughters: Sharon Fleegle and husband Jake of Jennerstown, Karen Lamkie and husband RIck, and Amy Merringer and husband Mike all of Central City, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, brothers and sister: Robert Shaffer of Somerset, Charles Shaffer and wife Maggie of Myrtle Beach, Debbie Brougher and husband Randy, and Gary Shaffer and wife Karen all of Somerset. Ruth was a 1964 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked until her retirement for Riverside as a cake decorator and later working as a self-employed cake decorator. She was very involved with her church and attended the Sarver Church. Friends received 2-5 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. with Reverend Irvin Ernst officiating.
