Saundra Lee "Sandy" Spangler, 74, of Rockwood, died November 14, 2020 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born November 17, 1945 in Wilbur, PA, she is the daughter of Roland and Velma (Larson) Dixon. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Earl Spangler who died April 6, 2001, brothers: Larry, Harold and Blair Dixon and sisters: Fern Flick and Janet King. Survived by her children: Brian Spangler,of Berlin, Dawn Spangler-Leasock and partner Patrick Wood, and Jodi Revello all of Rockwood, grandchildren: Joscelin, Joseph II, and Jacob Revello of Rockwood, and sister Aletta Strasiser of Indiana, PA, and sister-in-law Shirley Spangler of Rockwood, also many beloved nieces and nephews. Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Forbes High School, she worked until her retirement as a home health aide and as a custodian for Messiah Lutheran Church. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the New Centerville Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday December 4, 2020 at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday December 5, 2020 at New Centerville Union Cemetery with Reverend Lee R. Gable officiating.
