Shirley Florence Miller

Shirley Florence Miller, 84, of Somerset, died January 11, 2022 at her home. Born December 20, 1937, she is the daughter of Floyd W. and Maggie (Sleasman) Tinkey. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer Gerald Miller Sr, son Homer G. Miller Jr, grandson Joshua G. Miller, brothers; Robert, Clyde, John, Jerry, and Glenn "Mack" Tinkey, sisters; Ruth Barron, Jean Miller, and Ruby Ferner, also infant twin brothers, and an infant sister. Survived by granddaughters: Debbie L. Miller and fiance David Harkcom, Maggie J. Firestone and husband Stephen all of Somerset, Kasi A. Miller and finace Eric Hickman of Ligonier, and Heather R. Braithwaite and husband Brian of Somerset, great-grandchildren: Ruth, Camryn, Zacheri, Steven Jr., Randy, Joselyn, and Jullien, and brothers; Samuel Tinkey of Bakersville, and Domer Tinkey of Ohio. Shirley worked as a housekeeper for 7 Springs Resort until her retirement with 42 years of services, and was also a member of Sought Out Ministries. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with Reverend Kathy Hay officiating.
