Sidney Walter Noakes, 88, of Somerset, died July 25, 2020 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born February 23, 1932 in Westmoreland County, PA, he is the son of Walter Sidney and Sarah (Haines) Noakes. Preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Rosella M. (Haines) Noakes. Survived by his daughters; Cynthia Goodin and husband James of Quakertown, and Kimberly Rood of Zion Hill, PA, grandchildren: Jennifer and Joshua Goodin, and Nikki and Jacob Rood, great-grandchildren; Skylar and Camryn Hahn, also survived by his sister Sally Schrock of Somerset, and brother Donald Noakes and wife Sharon of Berlin. Sidney was a 1950 graduate of Somerset High School, he worked for Breningers Dairy and later in insurance sales. He was past president of Laurel Hill Lions Club, and was a member of Somerset Alliance Church. Due to current health restrictions viewing and services will be privately held on Monday August 3, 2020 with Reverend Donald Robson officiating. Interment Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
