Thelma Ruth (Miller) Hauger, 95, of Berlin formerly of Friedens, died April 16, 2023 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born August 17, 1927 in Somerset Township, she is the daughter of Ross A. and Melda (Zimmerman) Miller. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Manges Hauger who died July 13, 2017, sister Freda Roberts, brother Glenn Miller, grandson Eric M. Leister, and step-mother Florence Witt-Miller. Survived by children, Lynn Hauger married to the former Wanita Walters of Minnesota, Brenda Leister and husband Larry of Berlin, Susan Landis and husband Kim of Penrose, CO, and Lowell Hauger married to the former Barbara Fair of Buckstown; also survived by, 6 grandchildren: Carissa Niemi and husband Andrew, Alicia Hauger, Tara Miller and husband Mike, Jill Kleven and husband Ryan, Zachary and Isaac Hauger and wife Danielle; 6 great-grandchildren: Layken and Owen MIller, Lydia and Fionntan Niemi, Luke and Chace Deulen; step-grandchildren: Alan Kilgore and wife Vicki, Danielle Hauger and Richard Delp and wife Amanda; step-great-grandchildren: Lilly, Brayden, Joyce, Mistique, Allie, Brooklyn, and Karson. Thelma was a graduate of Somerset High School, she was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 32 years. She enjoyed her hobbies of quilting, crafts, putting puzzles together, cooking, baking, and reading. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Friedens Lutheran Church, Friedens, where a service will immediately follow with Reverend John Barichivich officiating.
