Walter E. Miller, 83, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2025 at Meadow View Nursing Center. He was born August 21, 1941 in Clearville, PA, the son of the late Earl E. and Mary W. (Koones) Miller. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Nancy Ellen Ritchey, Sarah Morgan, Robert Miller, Mary Ethel Spencer and Daniel Miller. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Myra (Mills) Miller; children: Loran (Penny) Miller of Clarksville, OH, Steven (Tammy) Miller of Boswell, PA, Renee Gindlesperger (fiance, Kevin A. Miller), Berlin, PA, Kevin (Tory) Miller, Belmont, NC, Brenda (Robert) Miller-Eaby, King George, VA; grandchildren: Ryan, Caleb, and Kyle Miller, James Miller, Orlo (Lori) and Levi (Elise) St. Clair, Jami (Greg) Burket, Tyler and Kaitlyn Gindlesperger, Yale Loucks, Layton (Haylee), Kaydance, Zoey, and Liyah Miller, Jaydon (fiance, Myla Bush) and Rayela Miller-Eaby, Bobby (Esther) and Kayli Eaby; great grandchildren: Sadie, Silas and Shawn St. Clair, Joey and Alina Pugh, Hadley and Gage Burket, and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Walter was a proud Marine Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, F.O.E. 1801 and NRA. Walter attended the Milford Church and was a member of Pleasant Union Church. He was a diesel mechanic and co-owner of L & M Diesel. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and playing guitar, mandolin and banjo. He was a member of the music group, Gospel Strings, playing and singing at many area nursing homes. Friends will be received at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 494 W. Main St., Somerset, PA 15501 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Friday, February 21 st . A second viewing will be from 10-11:30 am with service starting immediately afterwards on Saturday, February 22nd at Pleasant Union Church, 259 Pleasant Church Road, Clearville, PA 15535. Interment will be in the Pleasant Union Church Cemetery.
