Wesley Stewart Baer, 36, of Somerset, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 30, 2023, born December 1, 1987 in Somerset. He is the son of Roger and Tracey (Aultz) Baer. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Thomas Baer Sr., and maternal grandparents, Charles and Virginia (Walker) Aultz, and cousin Bradley "Little Buck" Aultz Jr. Survived by his parents Roger and Tracey (Aultz) Baer of Somerset, paternal grandmother Dorothy (Lape) Baer, brother Seth Baer and wife Amy, sister Kelly Baer, and niece Ellison Baer, uncles Bradley Aultz, and Michael (Kelly) Aultz, Tom (Deanne) Baer Jr., Grant (Roxanne) Baer, Aunts Deb (Bob) Dice, Cheryl (Greg) Chalk, Jane (Tom) Fisher, and numerous cousins and special great aunt and uncle Tootie and Ed Rumble and 2 beloved cats, Morgan and Emma. Wesley "Mort" was a 2006 graduate of Somerset Area High School. Mort enjoyed hiking and camping with his friends Craig and Andrea, country music, and playing his guitar, outdoor grilling and shooting targets at the family cabin at Kings Mountain. Wes worked beside his father for 20 years. He was his father's right hand man. Wesley's greatest passion was Civil War history and traveling to Gettysburg with his mom and dad. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Brent Williams officiating.
