Roy Edward "Judd" Baker, 79, of Boswell, died October 24, 2016 at Westmont Woods, Johnstown. Born February 16, 1937, in Acosta, PA he is the son of Lester R. and Blanche (Knopsnyder) Baker.  Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Dorali Rae Pyle who died June 5, 1998, son Gregory A. Baker, and brother Kenneth Baker.  Survived by his son Michael J. Baker married to the former Tammi L. Gumbert, grandchildren, Nicole R. Baker and fiance Matthew Orslene, and Andrew M. Baker and great grandson Orlando all of Somerset; also survived by a long time special friend Barbara Connor of Johnstown and brothers, Robert Baker and wife Betty, Donald Baker and wife Lois and Dale Baker and wife Eileen all of Markleton.  Roy worked until his retirement as a surface miner for the former Fetterolf Mining, he was also a member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, and a former member of FOE Aerie 1801 and the Harmony Club in Johnstown.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Jerome with Reverend Guy Myers officiating.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Maple Spring Church of the Brethren 106 Spring Rd.
